5 Ways to Tell Your Summer Stories & Travel Adventures with Photo Prints

January seemed to go on for years. But summer, unfortunately, seems to have come and gone in a flash. It’s officially the last day of summer this Sunday (23rd September). Ah, well. You no doubt made many happy memories and took tons of photos to look back on. Now it’s time to tell your summer story using Photo Prints.

The truth is that printing photos has never been more important. Why? Because we snap so many of them on our smartphones – none more so than during summer. It’s prime photo-taking time. As soon as the sun comes out, we seem to get snap-happier than any other time of year, apart from maybe Christmas (which is only 96 days away, by the way…).

So all those memorable summer moments you’ve captured over the past few months need printing. But once printed, how can you get creative when you place or hang them at home?

Here are five ideas we’ll give you for free 😉

Create a Travel or Summer Scrapbook

If you’ve never created a scrapbook before, you don’t know what you’re missing out on! It’s heaps of fun. We’ve used Square Prints, but this scrapbook idea – and all of the ideas below – also work very well for Standard Photo Prints.

That’s exactly what blogger Sam did, which she recently wrote about on her Yokomeshi blog. She paired 6×4” Standard Photo Prints from Truprint, with an ‘Adventure Awaits’ scrapbook from Hobbycraft.

Alternatively, for summer snaps or holiday photos, you can also create a scrapbook-style Photo Book online at Truprint and have it delivered to your day within five days.

Make a Photo Wall Gallery

Creating a summer collage or gallery on your wall couldn’t be more straightforward. Moreover, it’s cost-effective, as you don’t even necessarily need to use Framed Prints. Using Standard, Square, Large, or Poster Prints, you can create your very own work of Wall Art.

We chose to create a heart-shaped gallery using Square Prints, but you can choose a layout that’s as simple or creative as you like. Check out our Wall Art blog here for inspiration!

Funky Photo Hangers

There are lots of cute, creative craft ideas for hanging Photo Prints online. Some even use actual clothes hangers as boutique, bespoke photo frames! We wanted to use a washing-line style effect to hang our Prints… which is exactly what we did.

We purchased this LED version from Amazon for less than a tenner! How cool do they look?

For even less, we created a shabby-chic version using just a bit of string and some small wooden pegs. We think you’ll agree that the results are pretty impressive!

Mix It Up With Different Sizes

Take a leaf out of blogger Katie Lauren’s book and switch up the sizes a little bit to tell your summer story. Because, life isn’t just about the BIG moments – it’s about the little ones, too. Supersize some of your biggest summer moments with Poster Prints, and use Regular Prints for the littler ones.

Here, Katie has used a mixture of Standard Photo Prints and Poster Prints to do exactly that, to perfectly visualise her adventure to the Big Apple.

Freestyle Photo Display

There’s no rulebook when it comes to putting your Prints up at home. With just a bit of blue tack, you can place them on your wall at home – with no real structure or proper layout. It’s a bit of a freestyle photo display that can grow organically as you print more photos.
