Competition Terms

General Competition Terms and Conditions

Please read these terms and conditions carefully. You will be legally bound by these terms and conditions from the time you submit an entry to any Truprint competition:

  1. Promoter: the promoter of competitions on this Truprint Facebook page is: Harrier LLC (trading as "Truprint") of Brunel Road Newton Abbot, York Laboratories, Devon, TQ12 4UH, UK and available for contact through: feedback@truprint.co.uk.
  2. Competitions: Truprint may run a number of different competitions on this Truprint Facebook page (which may include competitions that make use of Rafflecopter or Offerpop). These terms and conditions will apply to each competition, along with the information Truprint will provide you via a Facebook competition post for each competition including (a) its name, (b) how to enter it, (c) its time period, (d) its prize(s), and (e) how to claim its prize(s).
  3. Eligibility: Unless otherwise stated, all Truprint competitions that run on this Truprint Facebook page are open to all UK residents aged 18 or over and who currently reside in the UK and who have a Facebook account, except (a) employees of Truprint or any of its holding, subsidiary or affiliate companies, or (b) employees of any agents, suppliers, contractors and brand retailers of Truprint, or (c) the close relatives of all such employees, or (d) anyone else connected with a Truprint competition or its administration.
  4. By submitting a competition entry, you confirm that you are eligible to do so and that you are eligible to claim any prize you may win. Truprint may require you to provide proof that you are eligible to enter a competition and proof of eligibility must be provided to Truprint on request.
  5. By submitting a competition entry you are agreeing to be bound by these terms and conditions.
  6. Entry periods: Each competition will run from a time and date (Opening Date) until a time and date (Closing Date) as set out by Truprint in the Facebook competition post. All times and dates stated are as in the UK at the time of the Facebook competition post. Any competition entries received after the time stated on the Closing Date for that competition are automatically disqualified.
  7. Entries: No purchase is necessary to enter a Truprint competition.
  8. There is a limit of only one entry per person (unless otherwise stated within the Facebook competition post). Multiple entries, through one or more accounts set up by you, or entries made through agents, third parties, organised groups or any entry duplication method will not be accepted. Entries on behalf of another person will not be accepted and joint submissions are not allowed.
  9. Truprint competitions that make use of Rafflecopter may give you extra entries upon sharing of the Facebook competition post (up to ten extra entries for each new friend who enters the competition). Facebook visitors will be informed of this on entering such a competition.
  10. Any offer codes provided are single use only unless otherwise stated in the Facebook competition post.
  11. Truprint does not accept responsibility for entries that are illegible or lost, delayed or damaged electronically or rendered invalid, online or otherwise during a competition due to incorrect participant data, lack of internet or network coverage, system, software or hardware failure or for any other reason beyond its control.
  12. Entries that are not submitted in accordance with these terms and conditions and/or that are delayed, damaged, incomplete, altered, illegible, otherwise defective or filtered from a Facebook (or Instagram, Twitter, Pinterest or any other third party social media channel) search (for whatever reason) will be disqualified.
  13. Truprint reserves all rights to disqualify you if in its sole discretion it believes you are not participating within the spirit or intention of the applicable competition or it suspects you of any unfair, unjust or any unlawful behaviour. Truprint reserves all rights to use its sole discretion in respect of any disqualification it makes and/or enforcing any penalty or sanction it deems appropriate.
  14. Photographs: Photographs entered by a person using their Facebook account must be either taken by the person entering the photograph or the person entering the photograph must have the permission from the photographer to enter the photograph.
  15. Photographs taken by a professional photographer, hired by you or anyone associated with you, are not admissible even if you own the copyright to such photographs.
  16. You must not take any photographs from the internet or any other source, and submit such photographs as your own, this breaches copyright law and immediately disqualifies you from participating in any Truprint competitions.
  17. Photographs that have been altered significantly by using software are not eligible and Truprint's decision on whether or not a photograph has been altered significantly is final.
  18. Photographs may not be collages that make use of more than two shots, no complex editing of photographs is allowed, and no priorities are given to those presenting a collage as an entry.
  19. Photographs may not be entered into a Truprint competition if they have been submitted for other competitions (including any other Truprint competition) on the internet. Photographs submitted to other photographic challenges are permissible so long as such photographs have not won any prizes.
  20. Prize(s): The prize(s) for each competition and how any prize is to be claimed is as set out in the applicable Truprint Facebook competition post.
  21. All prizes are subject to availability. Truprint reserves the right (but is not obliged) to substitute any prize for a prize of equivalent or greater value in the event of circumstances outside of its control that make this necessary.
  22. There is no cash alternative for any prize.
  23. Any prize is non-negotiable, non-transferable and non-refundable.
  24. Winners: The decision of Truprint or the judges nominated by Truprint for any particular competition is final and no correspondence or discussion will be entered into.
  25. The winners of any Truprint competition will be drawn / chosen at random, or in accordance with the method stated within the Facebook competition post. Where winners of Truprint competitions on this Facebook page are drawn / chosen at random, Truprint uses Woobox (or similar competition software) to select a winner.
  26. Unless otherwise explicitly stated, winners of all photography competitions will be selected at random. For competitions which do explicitly state photographs will be judged, any winning photograph is chosen based on the originality, visual impact, aesthetics, general characteristics (including relevancy for the theme of the applicable competition) and the overall emotional response of the photograph.
  27. A person can only win one prize per competition.
  28. Truprint, or its designated agent, will contact the winner of each competition by Facebook private message and/or by email within a month of the competition Closing Date. If Truprint has not received a response from the winner within 28 days from making contact with the winner, Truprint reserves the right in its sole discretion to redraw the winner. All reasonable efforts will be made to contact winners, and it is for Truprint in its sole discretion to determine when a new winner needs to be drawn. No correspondence will be entered into.
  29. The winner of a competition will be announced on this Truprint Facebook page (Announcement Date).
  30. The name and country of the winner and a description of the prize won will be made available by Truprint on receipt of a self-addressed envelope to be received by Truprint at the address set in condition 1 within one month of the applicable competition's Closing Date.
  31. Claiming a prize: If you are a winner of a prize you have 28 days from the Announcement Date to claim the prize. If you do not claim your prize within 28 days from the Announcement Date Truprint reserves the right in its sole discretion to make your claim invalid.
  32. Truprint will make all reasonable efforts to contact the winner. If the winner cannot be contacted or is not available, or has not claimed their prize within 28 of days of the Announcement Date, Truprint reserves the right to offer the prize to the next eligible entrant selected from the correct entries that were received before the Closing Date.
  33. Truprint does not accept any responsibility if you are not able to take up the prize.
  34. Limitation of liability: Insofar as is permitted by law, Truprint, its agents or distributors will not in any circumstances be responsible or liable to compensate a winner or accept any liability for any loss, damage, personal injury or death occurring as a result of taking up the prize except where it is caused by the negligence of Truprint, its agents or distributors or that of their employees. Your statutory rights are not affected.
  35. Ownership of competition entries and intellectual property rights: Truprint does not claim any rights of ownership in your competition entry.
  36. For photographs submitted to a competition (or posted by you as part of comments or generally on this Facebook page in connection with a competition) you agree to (a) waive all moral rights in and to any such photograph; and (b) grant Truprint a non-exclusive, irrevocable, perpetual, worldwide, transferable (with the right to sub-license) and royalty-free licence to make use of any such photograph on its website and in any other media, whether now known or invented in the future and in connection with any publicity of the applicable competition and/or to use, display, publish, transmit, copy, edit, alter, store, re-format any such photograph in connection with any publicity of the applicable competition and/or for any of Truprint's own marketing purposes (which may or may not be related to a competition) including on Truprint's website (or other websites associated with the Truprint business) and/or within any Truprint social media channel, blog or email marketing activity.
  37. For the purposes of condition 36, you confirm that (a) any photographs submitted are original works, are not defamatory and do not infringe any third-party rights; and (b) there are no conflicting agreements in place that restrict usage of these photographs by Truprint.
  38. Data protection and publicity: Truprint will only process your personal data in accordance with its Privacy Policy. Truprint's competitions are carried out on this Facebook page. Truprint does not have control over how Facebook may process your personal data. By entering a Truprint competition on this Facebook page you are confirming that you have read the Facebook Privacy Policy and accept how Facebook process your personal data.
  39. For any photographs that make use of any third-party image or personal data in the photograph, you confirm that you have the relevant consents from the individual(s) (or the appropriate parental or guardian consents if that third party image or personal data in the photograph is of a person under 18 years of age) for you to enter the photograph in to a Truprint competition and for Truprint to make use of the relevant individual's personal data for marketing purposes.
  40. You will produce evidence of any required consents at Truprint's request, or risk being disqualified from entering a Truprint competition.
  41. General: A Truprint competition on this Facebook page is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with Facebook (or Instagram, Twitter, Pinterest or any other third party social media channels). In using Facebook (or Instagram, Twitter, Pinterest or any other third party social media channel) you acknowledge that you must comply with the Facebook (or the applicable third party social media channel's) Terms of Service (or applicable rules and/or codes of conduct).
  42. If there is any reason to believe that there has been a breach of these terms and conditions, Truprint may, in its sole discretion, reserve the right to exclude you from participating in any competition.
  43. Truprint reserves the right in its sole discretion to modify, suspend, cancel, or terminate a competition where it becomes necessary to do so.
  44. If there is a conflict between these terms and conditions and any other terms or conditions whatsoever attached to any other advertising material in respect of a Truprint competition on this Facebook page, these terms and conditions shall take precedence and apply.
  45. If any provision (or part thereof) of these terms and conditions is found by any court, tribunal, administrative body or authority of competent jurisdiction to be illegal, invalid or unenforceable then it shall be deemed modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it valid, legal and enforceable. If such modification is not possible, the relevant provision (or part thereof) shall, to the extent required, be deemed deleted. Any modification to or deletion of a provision (or part thereof) shall not affect the validity and enforceability of any other provisions of these terms and conditions which will remain in full force and effect.
  46. A Truprint competition and these terms and conditions (including any non-contractual disputes or claims arising out of them) shall be governed by English law and both you and Truprint submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the court of England and Wales.

Locke Aparthotels Prize Draw Terms & Conditions

  1. The offer of a two-night stay at a Locke Aparthotel, in a Studio Apartment only, is valid from 1st April 2019 until 30th April 2020, excluding 25th December 2019 & 31st December 2019.
  2. A single, randomly-selected winner – announced via Facebook, Instagram, Twitter & Email – will be able to redeem this offer.
  3. Offer is valid for one occasion only, rather than two individual nights on two separate occasions.
  4. Bookings must be made at least 14 nights in advance of your stay.
  5. This complimentary stay is subject to availability.
